January 5

We woke up to freezing rain today. Not much fun, but it really is pretty. I am hopeful that since we moved three hours south, that we won't have to deal with the ice like we had last year in Oklahoma City. If I never have to help cut down a tree again, it will be too soon!!!




Today was also the first day back to school for Lance. He had a hard time getting out of bed and said he wasn't excited to go back, but look at his face. He loves school and I am sure is having a blast!

    My daughter loves school, but after being away from it for a few weeks, she didn't like the idea of going back. She was happy to go once we got out the door though. LOL Great pics!

    Great 365 shot!! I live in San Diego so there was no freezing rain but we did have ICE on our windshields and on our grass..lol I will take a pic tomorrow.

    My daughter went back to Kindergarten today and didn't want to go. Once we got to her class she was excited..lol

    Great shot! If our temp drops 2 more degrees we'll be having freezing rain instead of rain. Like you, I find it heartbreaking to have to cut trees down or to see the ice break the tops out of them. Stay warm!

    Great photo, love the colors and the focus depth.
    Here in Sweden schools doesn't start until Wednesday, we have holiday tomorrow too. Nice to sleep in another day. :)

    Oh wow I really like the pic of the frozen branch....you captured some amazing details there! I also like the way you arranged the photographs of your son's first day back to school. I should do the same when my kids go back..still have one more week for that!
